Orientation Class August 2026

Orientation Class is a great place to learn more about Highland's history, beliefs, and governance and is highly recommended for everyone.  This is a requirement for membership and you will need to attend both classes for membership.  Orientation Class is offered twice per year with this session being the 2-class Sunday crash course meeting on August 2 and 16 from 6pm - 8pm.  Childcare is not available.  (The next class will be in the Spring. 2027.)

Baptism Class 2026

If you  desire to be  baptized at our all-campus August 23 Baptism Service being held in Merrill (this is our only scheduled summer/fall Baptism service), you will need to attend this class scheduled on Wednesday, August 12, from 6:30–8:00 pm.   When registering, please list the full first and last name of the person being baptized.  Parents should plan to attend this class with their children/youth, but should not register themselves.

Women's Ministry Fall Campfire and Kickoff

Women’s Ministries Invites You to Our Fall Kickoff and Campfire at the Wausau Campus—Unseen Blessings—All women (and girls 6th grade and up) are invited to enjoy a time to Connect with others as we enjoy a picnic supper including s’mores, to Grow in the Lord and to Go reach girls in need!  Check out what the Women’s Ministries has to offer for the fall months and how you can get involved.  We will meet at the Wausau firepit on Thursday, August 20, at 6:00 pm.  Bring a camping chair and a feminine hygiene product to donate to girls in need in our schools/community.  Questions?  Contact Chris Mergen at 715-573-9248 or chris.mergen@gmail.com.  In case of rain, we will meet in the Café Room.

Thursday Evenings at the Wausau Campus: 1 and 2 Timothy Verse by Verse:  Paul wrote to Timothy about the kind of steady, grounded faith all believers are called to live. The letters remind Christians to stay rooted in truth, live with integrity, and to persevere when life gets hard. In a world full of distractions and conflicting messages, Paul’s words offer a practical blueprint for living out a resilient, authentic faith.
